En Plein Air Studies

These studies where done out in the field, in the elements, capturing the moment there and then, the light, the weather and the wide open view. These plein air studies are done in oil paint on a portable easel that I can pack away into a ruck sack and walk the countryside paths with and set up where ever.

These plein air studies are usually on board. When the board is dry, it is framed in a lovely, simple traditional frame. Please see below.
